About Rob Burden

Rob Burden spent two decades in accounting and finance before property tax. He began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he served seven years as an Audit Manager, then moved to Silicon Power Corporation as Corporate Controller, overseeing accounting and financial reporting for the international manufacturer’s worldwide operations. He spent the following seven years at Spherion Corporation, a Fortune 500 human capital consulting firm, as Vice President of the Professional Recruiting Division for the Western United States. Before joining Paramount, he worked at Coldwell Banker, where he personally originated more than $60 million in commercial and residential loans. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from California Lutheran University, where he was an Academic All-American in baseball.

Rob joined Paramount Property Tax Appeal in 2013 and serves as Executive Vice President of Sales. He leads business development and client relations for the firm and manages every aspect of the Business Personal Property Division, from filing strategy through appeal. He also provides technical guidance to the Business Property Tax team. His combination of audit, controller, and lending experience lets him read a client’s position the way their CFO does, which shapes how he approaches an assessment and what he looks for in an assessor’s methodology.

That range is what he brings to the work. A property tax appeal turns on financial records, valuation method, and the ability to explain both clearly, and Rob has worked all three sides. His focus is straightforward: reduce what his clients owe, and give them a clear account of why the number should change.
