Paramount has recovered over $100 million for California property owners across 45,000+ appeals since 2009. Unlike firms that settle at the informal stage, we take cases before the assessment appeals board when the evidence supports it, which is why our clients average a 24% reduction.

Your Presenter
Matthew Burden
Business Development Representative, Paramount Property Tax Appeal
Matthew Burden helps commercial real estate brokers turn annual property tax assessments into a real value-add for their clients. County assessments are often built on mass data that does not always reflect true market conditions. Brokers already know which clients bought at the peak, and Matthew teaches them the appeal process from a broker’s perspective, so they can bring clients a tangible way to save tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars a year.
Before joining Paramount, Matthew spent years in Big Four consulting at KPMG, where he ran the Pacific Southwest asset management practice and partnered with senior leadership on regional deployment strategy. A former collegiate baseball player, he brings the same competitive drive to building client relationships that turn into results.
