Position Overview
Paramount Property Tax Appeal specializes in reducing Real and Business property tax liabilities. Our staff, which includes former supervising county appraisers and senior brokers, has helped reduce the tax burden in over 10,000 transactions. Due to explosive growth we are expanding our Business Property Tax Appeal division and we are currently in the market for a Business Personal Property Tax Consultant to join our technical team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- The candidate will be responsible for reviewing companies form 571-L’s for mis-classifications, errors and omissions and preparing appeal cases that can be argued in front of a County Appeals Assessment Board.
- The candidate will also be responsible for working with companies that come under audit as the primary interface with County Auditors on behalf of clients to correct mis-classifications, errors and omissions and reduce their tax liabilities.
Experience and Qualification Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have 5+ years working specifically with Business Personal Property Taxes.
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of the State Board of Equalization guidelines for assessing Business Personal Property taxes.
- Working in a large company tax department handling Business Personal Property taxes or experience working within a County Assessor’s office would be preferable.
